The U.S. Department of Education’s 2010 program integrity/state authorization regulations apply to institutions of higher education offering distance education to out-of-state students. According to these regulations, prior to accepting enrollment from any student who is a resident of a state other than Vermont, New England Culinary Institute must have appropriate state authorization from that student’s resident home state. The authorization process varies widely from state to state, and in some cases can be time consuming and expensive, limiting the ability of the institution to enroll students from certain states.
Despite being a small institution, New England Culinary Institute continues to seek such authorizations. Through these efforts, New England Culinary Institute continues to expand the number of states from which students may be enrolled; the specific authorizations change frequently, so please contact your admissions representative for the most up-to-date information.
As of 07/01/17, New England Culinary Institute is able to accept enrollments to our online programs from the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.
