Dear NECI Alumni,
I would like to share with you news about upcoming changes at NECI. We have decided to discontinue all credit bearing programs. Therefore, effective immediately we will commence a teach-out of all credit bearing programs.
Our teach-out process allows students a reasonable opportunity to complete their programs of study if they stay on schedule and progress normally to graduation. We expect that all our current students will graduate by April. 2021. Effective immediately, we will stop enrolling new students in credit bearing programs.
Unfortunately, the pandemic proved to be the burden that we could not overcome. As directed by the State of Vermont we closed all our retail operations in March of this year, which severely limited our ability to deliver a college level, hands on culinary education, known as NECI’s Way.
NECI’s legacy will continue, we are not closing. We are contemplating a different approach to culinary education as well as campus relocation. We will keep you informed of our progress on this transition through ongoing communication.
