Tour New England Culinary Institute
Our tour is designed to acquaint you with NECI and to provide you with information in order to make a well-informed decision. During the tour, you will talk with chef instructors and current students, and you will quickly gain insight into a day-in-the-life of a NECI student. Our Admissions Representatives, Financial Aid counselors, and other members of our administration will be on hand to answer all your questions.

Tour Itinerary
8:45 am – Your tour begins at the National Life Insurance building. A free continental breakfast will be available for you. This is a secure building, so please bring photo identification in order to be issued a visitor’s pass. The tour will begin in the kitchens at the National Life building.
9:45 am – Our tour group will drive to our shared campus of Vermont College of Fine Arts to visit our Meat Fabrication kitchen and tour the student dining hall.
10:30 am – We will visit NECI on Main, our Farm-to-Table restaurant where you will have an opportunity to tour our live-production kitchens.
11:00 am – We cross Main Street and meet at the entrance of La Brioche. This is NECI’s European-style bakery and café. Here you will have an opportunity to witness a live-production class in session.
11:30 am – We will leave La Brioche, cross Main Street, and enter Chef’s Table, our catering venue, for a standing reception, where you will have an opportunity to visit with current students, chef instructors, and various members of our administration.
12:30 pm – Tour concludes. Prospective students wishing to visit with the Admissions Department, Financial Aid, or to see a campus dormitory room, will have the opportunity to do so.
Throughout your tour, you will be both indoors and outdoors, so plan to dress comfortably and for the weather. View the weather in Montpelier.

- Take Route I-89 to Exit 8, US Route 2, Montpelier.
- Drive one-half mile to the first traffic light.
