NECI on Main

At NECI on Main, our classic and modern cuisine is the product of a beautiful collaboration between students and our award-winning chef-instructors. For over 30 years we have been teaching students to make connections with farmers, between the landscape and our food, and between seasons and culinary traditions. Sometimes we include food items that express a particular sense of place from outside of Vermont, or culinary traditions from other cultures, and use those items or experiences to enhance the foods grown here. The menu at NECI on Main reflects the very best that Vermont’s farmers, and America’s next generation of young chefs offer.

 

We are participating in Vermont Restaurant Week from Thursday, April 22 through Saturday, May 1!

Dinner Menu ($30)

First Course Choice of:

Salmon Pastrami - Sweet and spicy house-cured salmon pastrami, rye toast, dill crème fraiche
Mediterranean Spreads - Whipped feta, eggplant puree, Muhamara red pepper, walnut spread, grilled pita
Chickpea Fries - with harissa rouille

Entree Choice of:

Brown Butter-Basted Stateler Chicken Breast - Green pea risotto, local carrots, chimichurri
Lightly Smoked Arctic Char - Pan-seared arctic char, local parsnip puree, sautéed mustard greens, hibiscus-orange beurre blanc
Vegetarian Option

Dessert Choice of:

Chocolate Mousse Cake - Topped with ganache, served with crème anglaise and chocolate sauce
Pear Frangipane Tartlet - Crème fraiche ice cream, honey tuile, cinnamon anglaise
Rum Coconut Cake - Vanilla bean ice cream, caramel sauce, coconut lace tuile


Lunch Menu ($15)

Includes a soft drink, minestrone soup and choice of entree:

PT Farms Beef Burger - Local ground beef, La Brioche bun, lettuce, tomato, red onion

Spring Burger - Pepper-crusted, blue cheese dressing

Grilled Vegetable Sandwich - Focaccia, lemon and herb VT Creamery chevre

NECI Smoked Salmon Club - house-smoked salmon, white toast and bacon.
