We are pleased to announce that Susan Spicer will be the Graduation Speaker at this year's graduation on June 21 at the Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vt.
Chef Spicer opened Savoir Faire restaurant in 1982 and was Chef at Bistro at Maison de Ville in 1986 in New Orleans. She is Chef/Owner of Bayona, Spice, Inc, Wild Flour Breads, Cobalt, and Herbsaint in New Orleans.
One of the first to re-open after Hurricane Katrina, she remains an active organizer and participant in community fundraisers.
She is the recipient of many awards, including The James Beard Award for Best Chef, the Mondavi Culinary Excellence Award, Restaurant and Institutions Ivy Award and Fine Dining Hall of Fame, Gourmet Readers Choice Poll of America’s Top Tables, and Food and Wine’s 10 Best New Chefs.
Her cookbook, Crescent City Cooking: Unforgettable Recipes from Susan Spicer’s New Orleans was published in 2007.
Each eligible graduate may bring four (4) guests to the June celebration. Additional tickets will be available for $10 each. Additional tickets are limited and will be distributed on a first come first serve basis. Please look for the formal invitation to the ceremony in your mail this spring.
