Can I get a refund if I do not complete the course?
NECI offers a refund to the student who withdraws from the course or to the sources from which the student’s prepaid fees came, according to the schedule outlined below. This refund schedule is based on the tuition and required fees charged for the program. Any student wishing to withdraw must complete and sign a Notice to Withdraw form, and deliver it to the Student Advisor. The termination date will be the last date of actual attendance by the student. Students in online classes have the opportunity to withdraw without tuition charges within five days following the first day of scheduled class, even if they have signed a learning contract.
Tuition will be adjusted on a pro-rated basis for the total days remaining in the term, divided by the total days in the period for which the student is charged (excluding scheduled breaks of five days or more). This formula will apply through 60% of the term. After 60% of the term has been completed according to the pro-rated calculation, the student will no longer be eligible for adjustments.
The refund schedule is as follows:
- All monies paid will be refunded if requested within three days after signing a learning contract and making an initial payment.
- Four days after signing an learning contract, but before the initial class day, all monies paid will be refunded.
- Tuition will be adjusted on a pro-rated basis for the total days remaining in the term, divided by the total days in the period for which the student is charged (excluding scheduled breaks of five days or more). This formula will apply through 60% of the term. After 60% of the term has been completed according to the pro-rated calculation, the student will no longer be eligible for adjustments.
- In online courses, if no activity is logged within the first five days of each scheduled class, NECI reserves the right to withdraw the student for non-participation; monies will be refunded according to the refund schedule outlined above.
