This May, the schedule for NECI on Main’s Music in The Cellar will be featuring five Thursday night performances. No cover charge. Live Music from 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

  • May 3rd: Abby Jenne, Rock and Blues
  • May 10th: Jairo Sequeira, Latin Acoustic
  • May 17th: Blue Fox, Old School Blues Guitar
  • May 24th: Mark LeGrand, Rock and Blues
  • May 31st: Borealis Guitar Duo, Celtic, England and Old Time American Tunes

NECI on Main has been listed in “Best Brunch Top 10″ by OpenTable Diners’ Choice

The New England Culinary Institute’s flagship restaurant, NECI on Main was awarded a top spot on OpenTable, rubbing elbows with 8 Boston restaurants and another from Newport, RI. OpenTable.com has diners use their experience at a restaurant to rate it online, and to leave comments and feedback.

NECI on Main is a well-known farm-to-table classroom restaurant for the New England Culinary Institute. New England Culinary Institute Spring Open House

Join us for a fabulous Spring Open House Event at NECI on Main, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on April 14th, 2012.

This is a great opportunity for prospective students to find out what NECI is all about by participating in workshops, learning about the admissions and financial aid process, to get a tour of the kitchens and to see live demonstrations from NECI’s great chefs.

Attendees will get a change to visit with Admissions Representatives, Chef Instructors, and current students to really hear about the ins and outs of NECI, and will learn about the Alumni and Career Services departments to get an idea of the rewarding life they can start building for themselves by enrolling.

Check out the “Celebrity Chef Series” at NECI on Main

Let the New England Culinary Institute take you on a virtual tour of great American restaurants with their “Celebrity Chef Series” at NECI on Main in downtown Montpelier.  From February 21-25, NECI chefs and students will help you experience the Italian cuisine of Iron Chef Mario Batali and his renowned New York City restaurant, Babbo.

February 28-March 3, NECI on Main’s restaurant classroom will have you savoring the farm-to-table stylings of Alice Waters and her internationally acclaimed Berkeley, CA restaurant, Chez Panisse.

Both weeks, NECI on Main offers meals at $27 which features an appetizer, entree and dessert.  Tuesday through Saturday dinner hours are 5:30 to 9:00pm.  Click here for reservations!  Mario Batali and Alice Waters cookbooks are available at Rivendell Books in downtown Montpelier.
