I come to you with more than 30 years of culinary arts and managerial experience, as Corporate Director Food and Beverage for Troon Golf, located in Scottsdale, Arizona.
I am a graduate and past instructor of the prestigious New England Culinary Institute in Montpelier, Vermont. I began honing my craft with jobs in fine restaurants throughout the United States including New York's La Cremaillere, Nantucket Island's Opera House, as well as culinary positions in Boca Raton, Florida, New Orleans and San Tropez, France. After returning to the U.S., I served as Executive Chef of Scottsdale's well-known 8700 restaurant as well as Executive Chef at Desert Mountain Properties in Scottsdale. In addition, I spent five years as a Lead Chef instructor and Executive Chef of The Scottsdale Culinary Institute's L'Ecole restaurant. I have achieved certification from the American Chef's Federation as an Executive Chef CEC, and Culinary Educator CCE.
Remembering NECI: While attending NECI, I was exposed to the reverence of the industry that makes one successful in pursuit of the most rewarding career path. Although it has been almost thirty years since my graduation, I continue to consult with many of my past instructors and fellow students. I continue to recommend NECI as the hospitality school of choice, while seeking out graduates for my own business. I value my hands on and direct instruction that I received. Without NECI there is not a doubt, I would not be where I am today. Vermont offers the ideal setting for education. The pristine waterways, forests and green mountains lend itself to organic and sustainable farming. Vermont and NECI are a perfect marriage.
