Dino Vincent Matelli

Lake Geneva, WI
AOS Culinary Arts 1994

Dino MatelliSince graduating I have been doing many things. I have worked in several states including Hawaii and Washington. I have varied experience in cooking and baking. I have been co-owner of a restaurant in the Philippines. I have been on several opening teams; two restaurants and two hotels. I have tried my hand at cheese making and I am continually trying to improve my cooking skills.

Remembering NECI: I loved NECI. It was a pivotal time in my life; I left home for the first time and did something that I wanted to do. The hands-on approach is an invaluable tool to learning for me. I learn by doing. The friendships I have made at NECI have lasted for years, I am grateful to have met so many talented people. I met my wife at NECI, she was an intern at LaBrioche from the Essex Campus and stayed in my dorm building. My internships were great, I enjoyed my internship in Vermont. I thought that the faculty at NECI was fabulous, helpful in every way. If I loved snow I would love to make Vermont my home. It is a wonderful state with plenty of opportunities for relaxation and employment.
