Letter To Seniors
Dear High School Seniors,
Thank you for your interest in New England Culinary Institute.
The New England Culinary Institute has been a leader in culinary education for over 30 years. From our first small class in 1980 until today our focus has always been on providing each student with the education, information, techniques, and experience needed to succeed as a culinary professional. As you seek out the culinary school that will best fit your needs, we hope you will consider the following:
Passion for Food.
Whether you see yourself in the future as an Executive Chef at a five-star restaurant, a pastry chef specializing in wedding cakes, a small business owner of a local bistro, or any of a thousand other culinary careers, you are considering NECI because you have a passion for food. The education you receive at NECI will fuel your passion and teach you the skills needed to succeed as a professional. Everything we do at NECI is focused around food. We share your passion, and we want to share our experience and expertise with you!
Personal Education.
From its founding, NECI has made small class sizes a priority. We recognize that students get the most out of their education when they can develop strong connections to their instructors. With one of the lowest student-teacher ratios among post secondary culinary schools, you will be well-known by your Chef Instructors. We believe that our students learn best in small classes where they can ask questions, get attention, and work collaboratively.
Professional Experience.
NECI is training the next generation of culinary professionals. At NECI your classes are in live, working kitchens. Our students “learn it by living it.” Your education at New England Culinary Institute will combine residencies here at our Montpelier campus with paid internship experiences at restaurants, resorts, and businesses around the country that will best meet your skill level and future career goals. Students who graduate from NECI will have succeeded in the classroom and developed experience in “the industry.” Your internships will help you strengthen your resume, develop your skills, and help you establish your professional network.
Everyone at NECI – students, Chef Instructors, staff, and administrators – is proud of the ideals that are inherent in the school’s philosophy.
If you are ready to work hard, feed your passion for food, and learn from the best, we want to hear from you. It is time to take the first steps towards your culinary education. Contact a NECI Admissions Representative toll-free at 1-877-223-6324 or by email at admissionsREMOVETHISBEFORESENDING@neci.edu.
Sincerely,
NECI Admissions
