"Dual Enrollment Scholarship" Program for Vermont Students
Do you know what’s in your own backyard? Vermont has an amazing food culture and one of the top culinary schools in the country. Not only do we support local businesses and community, we support you — as a Vermonter and as a student passionate about the food industry.
The Vermont Dual Enrollment program allows you to get started on your advanced degree while you're still in high school, and it helps make your education more affordable.
Vermont high school seniors, through the recommendation of their chef instructor, can take NECI's online Cooking Theory course while still in high school. This course is free to you through this program. Complete the course successfully and you earn three college-level credits.
You also earn a $12,000 scholarship if you enroll in July of the year you complete the Cooking Theory course. Or, you earn a $6,000 scholarship if you enroll in October of that year. We need to have your application by December 17, 2010.
Don’t wait! Talk to your chef instructor today about applying for this program, and come visit us and explore all the great things happening in your backyard!
