Requirements for NECI's Online Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Restaurant Management

To enroll in NECI's Online Bachelor's program in Hospitality and Restaurant Management, you must have:

  • 60 Qualifying credits from an accredited post-secondary institution. (An additional 8 General Education credits will be needed to graduate.)
  • Current or relevant experience in the food service/hospitality industry.

To be successful in our online bachelor's program, specific hardware and software are needed; these are listed in our computer requirements. Please consult your Enrollment Specialist if you have any questions or concerns.

Our Enrollment Specialists will guide you through the steps to:

  • Complete an application for admission.
  • Submit official college transcript(s) from an accredited postsecondary institution, indicating receipt of an associates or higher level degree in a related field of study.
  • Submit a written personal statement of three to four pages, double-spaced. The options for the essay's subject matter are listed on the bachelor's degree application.
  • Complete the Online Learning Readiness Survey.
  • Complete an interview by telephone, email, or in person, if requested.
  • Submit a resume documenting your experience in the hospitality industry.

We encourage you to apply well enough in advance of a term in order to facilitate your orientation and to allow time for you to acquire your books and other necessary resources.
