Culinary Arts Degrees and Certificates

The Culinary Arts program at New England Culinary Institute combines the old world tradition of European apprenticeship with the American holistic approach to food preparation and entrepreneurship.

On the very first day of class, you will begin working alongside Chef Instructors to learn the techniques necessary for mastery of culinary endeavors. Small, intimate learning environments translate to personal attention that you simply may not find at any other culinary school. You will gain confidence and skill from attending class in the real world atmosphere of our live-production restaurant and bakery. And to support this hands-on learning, you will be engaged in a curriculum designed to give you a well rounded education that spans applied science, critical and creative thinking, personal and professional development and more. A few key elements to our training are:

  • Hands-on training in our celebrated restaurant, bakery and other facilities.
  • One of the lowest student-teacher ratios among post secondary culinary schools.
  • Domestic and international internships.
  • Multiple enrollments throughout the year.

The Bachelor's and Associate degree programs in Culinary Arts encompass a well-rounded education including classic techniques, world cuisines and food science and management. You will be learning in a live-production kitchen.

Schedule a tour today to talk to chef instructors and meet students who are already a part of the intense creativity and energy of a NECI education.

Testimonials

I'm committed to the idea of more people buying at farmers' markets than at grocery stores. I believe in the importance of people growing their own food, not because they absolutely have to, but because they want to, and they see the benefits in it.
