High School Teachers
Join us for the ProStart® Summer Institute Level 2 and 3 this summer!
The Summer Institute provides educators with a forum to learn cutting-edge skills, which they can then take back to the classroom. These weeklong intensive workshops are delivered by industry experts.
In this dynamic and interactive environment, educators have the opportunity to:
- Earn restaurant/foodservice educator certification
- Learn from faculty composed of nationally recognized content experts
- Network among peers
- Participate in best practices forums
- Tour restaurant and foodservice facilities
- Receive classroom materials
NECI will host Summer Institute Levels 2 and 3 on the campus of Vermont Technical College in Randolph, Vermont.

Level 2: June 27 – July 2, 2010
Level 3: July 11 – 16, 2010

Suggested lodging:

Suggested airport for arrival:
Burlington, Vermont (BTV), approximately one-hour drive.
Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT) is a two-hour drive.
Boston Logan (BOS) is a three-hour drive.
Deals can be found for all three airports.
Suggested ground transportation:
There is little to no public transportation available between these airports and Randolph, Vt. Major car rental agencies are at all the airports.
Items to bring:
Three chef coats, knife kit from Level I Summer Institute.
What to wear:
Checkered or solid dark pants (no denim).
Kitchen safe shoes that cover the entire foot.
White tee shirts.
Black or white socks above the ankle.
NECI will provide apron, side towel, and cap.
Miscellaneous information:
Early summer in Vermont is a wonderful time, with sunny and warm days (average temp around 75) with almost no humidity and cool evenings. You will need a sweater or sweatshirt for evenings.
Although the finer details of the agenda have yet to be finalized, you will more than likely visit a farm, or go berry picking, etc., so sturdy shoes are a must!
