The Culinary Discovery Program features 15 weeks of classroom instruction followed by 15 weeks of paid work study. The program includes hands-on training with a low student to faculty ratio. Station instruction will include stewarding/sanitation/safety, prep, line cooking, garde manger/pantry, batch cooking and baking. Participants will learn about recipe costing, conversions and measurements, basic nutrition and organization/timing.

Internship: May 26 to September 5
Hours: 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM*
* Hours may vary depending on individual’s interest/ability in baking and pastry, a la carte, etc.

Step #2: Call 802-878-1100, ext. 1345 to make your interview appointment. Interviews will be conducted the week of February 4, 2008. You will meet with two members of the CDP’s Advisory Committee. Please come prepared to discuss your interest in the food industry and why you would like to be a part of this program. Interviews will last approximately ½ hour.
